These are my personal reflections regarding my daily quiet time readings. I will share the passage, and my own reflections on it. My quiet time readings are found here

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

“You can stand before God and quarrel with Him, ‘Look, either grant me to live this verse or erase it from the Bible. For whom have You written it? The saints? If so, they are splendid and do not need it; but I am lowly and weak, and these verses apply to me. Lord, I see it as my right to request this. I want to read and not lose one verse. I beseech You, who opened the apostles’ minds, to open my mind. This is my foundation; what else could be? Could I establish my faith on Matthew Henry or Chrysostom? Lord, I am living in this generation, my throat is parched, and I desire something to satisfy my heart. I desire words to speak to me. You opened the minds of the disciples, so you have this power, and it is not difficult for You. Open my mind, and show me what is my portion in my Bible.’” -Fr. Matthew the Poor; Words For Our Time
